I am a federal manager of 47 employees ranging in age from 25 to 62. The work ethic of my older employees is excellent and they are great mentors to the younger ones. I have been a federal employee for 32 years and I can tell you that there is a new culture out there, at least in my agency. The addage "good enough for government work" doesn't exist here.
